Spotted Safety Privacy Policy

Spotted Safety is developed by ClearPass Technologies LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). We built Spotted Safety on a fundamental premise: your personal observations and safety notes belong solely to you.

1. Zero Telemetry & No Remote Collection

Spotted Safety is a local-first application. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or monetize any personal information:

• No User Accounts: You do not register with an email address, phone number, password, or third-party identity provider.
• No Remote Databases: Your records, plans, contacts, and photos remain saved exclusively within your iOS device's local sandbox storage.
• Zero Analytics & Tracking: The app includes no third-party telemetry, crash tracking SDKs, advertising frameworks, or device fingerprinting.

2. On-Device Hardware Permissions

When you use optional device features, access is strictly limited to the on-device task:

• Location: Requested only when you tap "Use Current Location" to note the location of an observation. Coordinates are stored locally and never broadcast.
• Camera & Photos: Requested only when you deliberately attach a photo to a private record. Attachments are saved directly inside the app's sandboxed filesystem.
• Face ID / Biometrics: Checked locally by the iOS LocalAuthentication framework to unlock the app screen. Biometric templates never leave Secure Enclave hardware and cannot be accessed by the app.
• Notifications: Local reminder notifications are scheduled directly on your device. They contain no incident details and require no external push server.

3. App Store Nutrition Label Facts

In accordance with Apple App Store Connect requirements:

• Data Used to Track You: None.
• Data Linked to You: None.
• Data Collected: None.

4. Data Deletion & Ownership

You have full, permanent control over your records. You can export your data at any time via JSON, or permanently wipe all records and settings with the "Delete All Local Data" function in Settings.
